Enquiries and how we use information

This website has no enquiry form, booking or payment facility. Email links open your own email application. We receive your email address and the information you choose to send, and use it to respond and discuss appropriate services. Please keep initial enquiries brief; detailed health histories and other people’s records should wait until suitable arrangements are agreed.

We rely on steps you request towards a contract, or our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and administering the practice. Necessary health information also requires a health-care condition with professional confidentiality safeguards, or a legal-claims condition where applicable. Sending an email is not blanket consent for other uses.

Access, providers and retention

Dr Lewis alone has routine access within the practice. Email is supplied through 123-reg using Titan. These providers and their service partners process information to deliver, secure and support the service. Titan’s published policy describes international processing and contractual protections; it does not establish this mailbox’s storage country or its specific UK transfer arrangements. No particular storage country is claimed. Contact Dr Lewis for information about transfers and safeguards.

Enquiries that do not proceed are closed within one month of no further contact; their emails are erased and Deleted Items emptied. Any separate Casebook administrative enquiry record reaches deletion review three months after closure. A lawful complaint or legal preservation requirement may justify longer retention. Backup copies are handled separately from the working mailbox; immediate erasure from every provider backup is not claimed.

Clinical and professional engagements are covered by separate privacy information, supplied at the appropriate stage. Relevant information may be shared where lawful and necessary for care, legal proceedings or a legal obligation.

Website operation

No advertising, analytics or embedded social feeds have been added to this website. WordPress uses cookies for authorised editors signing in. Hosting and security services may process technical information, such as IP addresses and request details, to deliver and protect the website. Where we determine this processing, we rely on our legitimate interests in operating a secure, reliable website and limit retention to what those purposes require.

Your rights and complaints

You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of your information, where the relevant right applies. You can withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Access requests are normally free and answered within one month, subject to lawful exceptions and extensions.

Your right to object: you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact Dr Lewis using the details above.

For a privacy complaint, contact Dr Lewis. We will acknowledge it within 30 days and investigate and respond without undue delay. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
